The West Australian-based fashion label Zhivago is quickly gaining recognition for its unique fusion of ready-to-wear and avant-garde separates. Co-designed by friends Lara Kovacevich and Lydia Tsvetnenko, the brand was successfully launched at the 2012 Perth Fashion Festival. Both designers have been honing their talents since a young age – Lara learned costume design from her sister’s successful label, and Lydia began sewing and selling clothing to family and friends while still in school. With a focus on impeccable tailoring and bold statement pieces, Zhivago has already made a mark on the fashion world with its attention-grabbing red-carpet gowns.
