And gowns are cut for a heel, so budget for a hem if you are under about 5’5″ or plan to wear something lower. Decide the shoe before you alter.

Care

Dry clean only, and worth finding a cleaner experienced with beading. Pressing damages embellishment and loosens threads.

Store beaded gowns on a padded hanger, or folded flat if the beadwork is dense, since weight pulls the garment out of shape over time. Zip fully before storing and keep it in a garment bag, because beading snags on everything near it.

If a bead comes loose, keep it. Reattaching one is straightforward. Matching a replacement is not.
